Full Service Design Fee Structure:
projects. The design fee is not included in the design budget. Design fees for larger budgets will land between 19-20% of the project cost. Because you are working with The linen Duck, we assume you will utilize our lines of furniture, fixtures and finishing. If there are alternate purchasing plans, additional fees maybe added. All full service clients receive a 5% discount on their furniture purchases through The Linen Duck. All clients that require demo or construction work are required to utilize our contractors unless another contract has already been secured. This allows us to get your end result perfect as we can control all aspects of the project to bring you exactly what you want!
Our full service clients have a strong sense of what they like and don’t like with an idea of what they want their projects to look like at completion. They understand and expect us to do our job, which is to handle the creative design, furniture and finishing selections portion of their project. Full service means full service. Our full service work is white glove concierge. We don’t cut corners. We ultimately strive to exceed our client's expectations!

Step 1 - Complete our design survey. This helps us get a sense of your style, preferences and what you are looking for. It also helps maximize your time when we meet!
Step 2 – The In Home Meeting. We will get together and discuss your goals, gather details, survey your home or rooms you want help styling. Styled rooms use items you already own, while we add in key pieces that pull your space together. Some rooms may need larger items such as furnishings, drapes, or rugs, while others may just need some art, lighting, &. accessories. The scope of your project will be determined after our scheduled visit.
Step 3 – Shopping & Design Installation! We will schedule a one hour in store shopping consultation. Once your shopping consolation is completed, and you are comfortable with the direction of your project, we will schedule an install day with you. That is the day the magic all comes together! Our designers will quickly work with your new and existing elements to bring your room(s) to life! This process could take between 24-48 hours depending on the scope of the project..
Flat Fee Room Styling Fee Structure:
The cost of the items you chose is not included in the design services. The initial in-home consultation is 1 hour and is $175. We require this to be paid at the time of booking or at the consultation. You will be given a quote within 48 hours after the in-home meeting. In general, flat fee room styling starts at $800 and goes up from there, depending on the project. We do offer discounts for multiple rooms styled at the same time.
If you are a DIYer, need help picking paint colors, or just need a little direction on furniture placement, this is the package for you! You know what you want and are excited to do it yourself, however it would be so great if you could have a little time with a professional who can offer creative solutions and provide a new perspective on your room. It’s amazing how much creativity can happen in 2 hours!
To get started simply complete the design survey and book your 2 hour in home consultation! Be prepared to clearly determine and communicate your goals, questions and the scope of what you want to achieve or get direction on. Are we discussing painting, moving furniture around, knocking out walls, or general decorating ideas? We love to help our DIY friends and we will make sure you you walk away with multiple ideas and solutions after 2 hours. The design survey will help with that. Your list of specific questions and notes will also be critical to our time together. Truly worth noting - we must be efficient during this consultation. We do stick to our 2 hour time limit. We should both be prepared to make the most of this time. However, if you need more time that is ok! We do charge in 30 minute increments once we reach the 2 hours, and it will be automatically billed to the card you used to set up the appointment.
Conceptual Design Fee Structure:
We work on a flat fee of $350 and includes up to 2 hours in your home. An additional 60 minutes in store follow up is always a good idea, and we offer this as an add on to all conceptual design packages for $75. This gives you an opportunity to get specific furniture, art, accessories, and lighting ideas to complete the projects discussed.
In Store Consultation: Our in-store consultation is designed to give you an opportunity to sit down with one of our in house designers and discuss space planning, art, accessories, and other elements of design for a room you are working on. We will schedule up to 90 minutes with you during our store hours. This one on one help is perfect for a project that you may be stuck on. During this time, we will review your room measurements, color swatches, fabrics, etc. to make sure you are on track! We encourage you to bring pictures of all angles of your room, paint colors or fabric swatches you are trying to match, measurements of your space or current furniture pieces staying in the room, and photos of your style and design taste. Sometimes this is all you need to spur your creative juices and still be confident in purchasing furniture and finishing pieces for your space. To get started simply fill out the design survey and confirm your appointment by booking and paying for your appointment at least 3 business days in advance.
We have been working with homeowners and builders for over 17 years to select the perfect finishes for their new homes. If you are remodeling or building a new home, we know what that’s like and we can provide a design package solely focused on helping you select lighting, plumbing fixtures, countertops, tile, paint, and flooring. Since every situation is different, we price these packages as a flat fee based on hourly rate. The flat fee can only be determined after we have determined your needs. The hourly rate is $175. Most Selection packages consist of a one hour on site consultation, one week of product research, and 2 detailed emails with multiple options outlined per selection. This base package starts at $2500.00 and an optional 4-6 hr shopping day may be added to the package for an additional $800. If travel is required farther than a 25-mile radius of Franklin, this option is subject to a higher cost. All other request will be priced based on services requested.
